Vision / Mission / Purpose

Our Vision

Our Ozarks Chapter of the American Christian Writers Association is being formed in response to a felt need for a uniquely Christian atmosphere to foster and encourage Christian writers. As Christian writers, we seek a place to come together for encouragement in our Christian growth as well as in our writing skills; to help and encourage one another - whether in writing for Christian publications or writing for the secular press in ways consistent with our Christian worldview.

Come enjoy a distinctive fellowship & focus on living Christ-centered lives with other Christian writers and "writers-to-be" where encouragement and information is provided.

Mission Statement

OCACW is an organization of Christian writers providing:

Goal 1 - Information & Instruction in Writing
Goal 2 - Encouragement in Writing
Goal 3 - Fellowship among Christian Writers
     Goal 4 - Networking Opportunities
     Goal 5 - Sharing & Critiquing Opportunities

Purpose Statement

The primary focus of the Ozarks Chapter of American Christian Writers is to:

  • Encourage excellence in writing: Our goal is to support and encourage one another in a noncompetitive environment and to develop excellent, professional writing skills that honor God and serve our readers. (Goals 1 and 5)
  • Grow together in our relationships with God and with each other: Our goal is to encourage one another to live Christian lives and to seek God's will for our writing talents. (Goals 2 and 3)
  • Provide Christian market & networking information: Learn about Christian markets and other resources for active writers and want-to-be writers. (Goals 1 and 4)
