Membership
in the Ozarks Chapter of American Christian Writers Association will be
granted in accordance with the following Terms and Conditions. You must
agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions in order to become a member
of OCACW.
1.
American Christian Writers (ACW) Statement of Faith.
We are
specifically an organization of Christian writers who want to meet together
with like-minded individuals for fellowship, writing instruction, and
inspiration toward writing for Christian publications and for secular
publications from a Christian worldview. While we believe secular writer's
groups have value, we seek a place where we can share about Christian
themed ideas without feeling "put down" for making others
present uncomfortable with the Christian ideas reflected in our writing:
We believe
the basics of the Christian faith as described in ACW's Statement of
Faith.
2.
Copyright.
The entire
contents and layout of the OCACW website are copyrighted as a collective
work under the United States and other copyright laws, and holds the
copyright in the collective work. As an OCACW member, you may view,
display and download materials within the website for your own private
and non-business use.
The OCACW
website may contain, material from contributing newsletter article writers
that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights.
Members agree not to transfer or sell, reproduce, create derivative
works from, distribute or modify the content of this site without express
written permission of OCACW's Web Team. You agree not to change or delete
any contents of materials downloaded from our OCACW web site.
3.
Submissions.
Submissions
to the OCACW newsletter are protected by copyright laws. If you submit
content to the OCACW newsletter, you grant OCACW non-exclusive, royalty-free,
reprint rights, while retaining your own copyrights. In addition, if
you grant OCACW electronic rights, said newsletter submissions may be
displayed on OCACW's web site for an unspecified length of time; or
displayed in rotation with other submissions.
4.
Indemnification.
You agree
to indemnify, defend and hold harmless OCACW and all associated content
providers from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs,
including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of
these Terms and Conditions or any activity related to your activities
in OCACW or your use of the Members Only area of this web site (including
negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing
the OCACW website through your account.
5.
Members Only Web Area Access.
Once your
membership dues have been processed, you will be granted access to the
Members Only section of the website and you will receive an e-mail containing
your membership access details, including login name and password. Please
keep your Members Only login information confidential.
